James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Jujur’s lips shut.
Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I originally thought was an actual muzzle, turned out to actually be tape. Jujur's feet were visible red and damaged, with toenails that were too close to paws. This likely triggered Jujur biting.
Puppy Lux, an on-the-go pet salon, employed the groomer that was responsible for this.
James took Juju immediately to the vet for immediate medical attention. He has accused Puppy Lux of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.
James described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Jack Smithr posted on animal abuse fun facts Yelp a review about how Puppy Lux returned his animals to him in a bad condition or with injuries. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.
PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James stated, "Jonny informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."
When contacted by Fox, Puppy Lux answered the phone but promptly handed it over to a woman who stated they were investigating the allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
